Private EL Alamein Battlefield Tour

Your private Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel and head north towards the Mediterranean coast to El Alamein located 149 miles (round 240 km) northwest of Cairo and 66 miles ( round 106 km) west of Alexandria. It is the site of a historic battleground that played an essential role in the Second World War. Here some 13,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers gave their lives in two extended battles, and today their sacrifice is commemorated in a desert war cemetery with row upon row of gravestones and memorials to British, Australian and New Zealand soldiers.

On-site also visit an enlightening local war museum, which is a complete illustration of the story of World War II. The gardens outside of the museum scattered with substantial army tanks and large-scale weaponry that used during the battles of El Alamein. Inside there are five halls, each dedicated to a country involved in the war, with uniforms, weapons, models and records on display.

Cancellation Policy:
