Day 1: Fly to Luxor - King's valley & Hatchepsut temple

Pick-up from your hotel in Cairo & direct to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Luxor, arrive Luxor & start your tour with your Egyptologist tour guide to the West Bank. The twin seated statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first site we’ll see before we visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, where 64 ancient Egyptian rulers lie buried in the Valley of the Kings including the burial chamber of the boy king Tutankhamen. Archaeologist Howard Carter discovered his intact and treasure-filled tomb in 1922. West bank touring also includes the spectacular Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only Pharaonic female ruler, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces. Stop for lunch at a quality local restaurant, then check-in at your hotel “Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor” & overnight.

Day 2: East bank Luxor - Fly back to Cairo

Breakfast & check-out, pick-up to visit Karnak, where the many-columned temples await your arrival. Wonder at the obelisks, huge columned Great Hypostyle Hall and the sacred lake. Proceed to Luxor Temple via the 3 kilometre Long Avenue of Sphinxes, lost for centuries beneath the streets of the town till unearthed by Mariette 1860. The striking Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun Ra. Then direct to Luxor airport to catch your flight back to Cairo.
