Start your wonderful day tour to the Giza Plateau, site of the stunning Pyramids of Mycerinus, Chefren and the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
The Pyramids built as tombs for the Ancient Egyptian Kings and Queens. Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) – the largest of the three great Pyramids. Step inside Khefren Pyramid and explore its passageways and corridors. Visit the Solar Boat Museum, where you find the 142-foot-long funerary barge of Cheops. It may just be the oldest boat in existence.
Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a Pharaoh with a Lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephren. Proceed to have your lunch at a local restaurant then move to visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world including some of the riches of Tutankhamen.
Finally, you will be escorted by your guide back to your hotel in Alexandria.
