Day

Day 01: Arrival Luxor, Visit to Karnak and Luxor temples

Welcome Luxor, Egypt (Around the clock) Misr Travel tour manager will meet & assist you at Luxor airport, Rail station or hotel, then escort to your Nile cruise to check in for 05 days /4 nights. Today enjoy a visit to the colossal Temple of Karnak. Egypt’s finest ancient temple, Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to see each legacy left by the various Pharaohs and dating back over 3000 years.

Walking through the Great Court into the Great Hypostyle Hall, it’s hard not to be overwhelmed by the 134 columns towering above you like an ancient forest. At the rear of the complex, you will find the sacred lake where centuries ago Pharaohs and their offerings to the gods were purified. After a tour of the complex, you will have additional free time to explore at leisure.

Continue to Luxor Temple which unearthed by Mariette in the 1860 and was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometre long Avenue of Sphinx. A pure Egyptian temple, the inner walls and columns are decorated with intricate hieroglyphics which your guide will help you decipher. Find out how Alexander the Great wrote himself into Luxor Temple’s history, and see one of the original pair of the obelisk, the second of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Day 02: Luxor West bank tour – Sailing to Edfu 

You can opt to float over Luxor in a hot air balloon first thing this morning before you visit the West Bank; where 64 ancient Egyptian rulers lie buried in the Valley of the Kings including the burial chamber of Tutankhamen. Archaeologist Howard Carter discovered his intact and treasure -filled tomb in 1922. If you wish to visit King Tutankhamen and Ramses VI tombs, an additional cost is payable direct. West bank touring also includes the spectacular Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only female ruler, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces. There is free time to explore at your leisure as you wander the large courtyards and admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations. Standing like guards along the road to the Valley of Kings, you’ll also marvel at the Colossi of Memnon, impressive statues of Amenhotep that tower 75 feet above the desert sands.

You will cruise to Edfu via Esna. Enjoy your afternoon tea out on the sun deck. Tonight, enjoy a special Egyptian Galabeya Party. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 03 : Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples – Aswan

Today your Egyptologist will guide you to explore the extraordinary Temple of Horus at Edfu, the falcon-headed god and the most completely preserved Pharaonic temple (albeit Greek-built). According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth.

Enjoy lunch while sailing to Kom ombo which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and you can still view the remains of an ancient mummified crocodile, which was worshipped here thousands of years ago. It was built on the honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Then, depart for the scenic sailing to Aswan and overnight in Aswan.

Day 04 : Aswan day tour – Felucca Nile sailing

After leisurely breakfast, start you tour with a visit to Aswan high dam, an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. The dam spans the Nile River, more than two miles across and incorporating 16 times the amount of material that went into the Great Pyramid at Giza.

Proceed to the impressive granite quarries and site of the Unfinished Obelisk. Illustrating the skills of Egypt’s stonemasons, this monolith is one-third taller than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk. Later ride a motorized boat to Philae Temple on the island of Agilika. This sacred complex was dedicated to the Goddess Isis and reflects a fusion of three great civilizations - Egyptian, Greek and Roman.

Afterwards, enjoy the peace and tranquility of the felucca Nile sailing ride in Aswan. Enjoy the sunset and high tea where Agatha Christie wrote her renowned mystery novel, Death on the Nile, and imagine the Imperial age when famous guests such as Charlie Chaplin and Winston Churchill stayed in its rooms.

Day 05 : Disembarkation & Final Departure

After Breakfast and check out, Misr Travel tour manager will be waiting to transfer you to Aswan Airport, Hotel or Rail station.

Day 02: Cruising the Nile; Kom Ombo to Edfu

Cruise to Kom Ombo and visit the only temple in Egypt dedicated to two gods: the crocodile-headed Sobek and falcon-headed Horus the Elder. Continue on, past irrigated fields and palm-fringed villages to Edfu.enjoy a horse and buggy ride from the ship to the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus, the Falcon God. Witness the grandiose set of reliefs depicting the ritual in which Horus defeated his arch-enemy, Seth. Celebrate Egyptian-style this evening, at a galabeya party and dinner. Overnight in Esna.

Day 03: Cruising the Nile to Luxor

After Breakfast, drive over to the west bank of the Nile for a photo stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon. Next, visit the reconstructed Temple of Hatshepsut ( El-Deir El- Bahari ) – one of the few female rulers in Ancient Egypt. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of many of the New Kingdom Pharaohs. Venture underground into some of the royal tombs before returning to the cruise.

Day 04: Karnak & Luxor Temples

Disembarkation after breakfast, Then your Egyptologist guides you around the strikingly graceful Temples of Luxor, visit the amazing temple complex of Karnak. Among its splendors is the vast Hypostyle Hall, the largest of any temple in the world. continue via ram-headed sphinx road to Luxor temple, lost for centuries beneath the streets of the town.

Later, Misr Travel tour manager will transfer you to Luxor Airport, Hotel or Rail station.

Prices are quoted in US Dollars per person per trip and valid till September 30, 2024, except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays.

Reservation & Cancellation policy.

  • A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking and making up a part of your final payment.
  • Full payment is due 30 days before the commencement of the tour.
  • The company may cancel the booking if the payment is not received within this period. 
  • Tour prices and dates are correct at the time of the website going live, however, are subject to confirmation at the time of booking.
  • Misr Travel accepts the credit and debit cards (Visa and Master Card) as well as a wire transfer.
  • We charged no credit card fees or hidden surcharges.

Cancellation refunds will be calculated as of the date we receive cancellation requests per person.

The cancellation must be done by sending an email with 1) Name of the passenger 2) Passport number 

Cancellation fees.

  •  45 days before your arrival, 6% of the total tour price will be charged as a bank transaction fee.
  • From 40 to 30 days before your arrival date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • From 29 to 15 days before your arrival date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • From 14 to 7 days before your arrival date, 75% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • From 7 to 1 day before your arrival date, 100% of the entire tour price will be charged. 

Children Policy.

A: It differs from one tour to another.

  • 0 - 01.99 Free
    2 - 4.99 pay 25% of the tour price
    5 - 11.99 pay 50% of the tour price
    12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.

B: The policy is valid and applies to children sharing their parent’s rooms.

C: If the package includes Air Flight or Sleeping Train, then an extra charge applies as per the flight or train policy.

Single supplement:
This option is available for those who prefer traveling with others but prefer single accommodation. This will guarantee you your own room for every night of the tour.  The number of single rooms offered is limited, so it’s best to book early.

Important Notes:
We highly recommend you book this trip as early as possible, preferably 50 days before departure. Reservations received within 30 days will be on request and subject to availability of accommodation.

For the International flight it will be according to the type booking policy , & concerning the Internal flight you can have just 1 piece with maximum of 20 kilograms (international dimensions).
